Following product installation, all Notes clients automatically have access to fax sending and receiving functions. In addition and without training, the messaging service user can send a fax just like an e-mail. Attachments to Notes messages are automatically converted into fax pages with the cover page being created from the body of the Notes message. Depending on their rights, a user may be able to modify the cover page, the billing account and sending options. Using ISDN/CSID routing, faxes are received directly in "incoming e-mail" mailboxes, and can be annotated, signed, stamped and re-sent.

Print Driver

Print driver installation enables users to send faxes directly from all Windows and Macintosh applications. By the same means, the user has access to the messaging service address book (public or personal). Documents sent in this way pass through the "in process" tray before arriving in the "sent items tray".

Mailing

Word mail merge can be used in conjunction with RTE FAX to create and send mail shots by fax. For larger mail shots, an interface with all ODBC databases is available.
