Fax
traffic management
Once the product is installed all Outlook clients automatically
have the benefit of Fax transmission and reception functions.
In this way, users of the messaging service can send
Faxes in the same way as e-mails without any training
being required. Attachments are automatically converted
into fax pages, the cover page being compiled from the
body of the message sent. Depending on their rights,
the users can modify the cover page, billing account
and transmission options. With DID (ISDN) routing, incoming
Faxes are received directly into the inbox and can be
written on, signed, stamped and re-sent.
Print
driver
The installation of a print driver enables users to
send Faxes directly from all Windows and Macintosh applications.
Using the same option, the user can access the Exchange
2000/2003 messaging service address books. In this way,
transmitted documents pass through the "Outbox",
and can be re-found in the "Sent Items" box.

Preview and approve
Faxes before sending
RTE FAX offers the FAXFLOW
preview form for outgoing Faxes. Fax
preview shows exactly what will be sent: displayed cover
page and attachments converted into Fax pages. The sender
can stop or continue the transmission procedure. This
function is automatically implemented and does not need
to be installed on a client workstation
RTE FAX also offers the FAXFLOW approval form for outgoing
Faxes. It enables a named person, having modification
rights to a public folder, to approve or prohibit Fax
transmissions. In case of refusal, the sender is informed,
he can carry out the required modifications and then
resubmit the Fax
Optimise the processing
of incoming Faxes
The FaxFlow reception
form enables incoming Faxes to be easily viewed and
processed irrespective of whether they are received
in Public Folders or a user's mailbox. The reception
form enables you to use the following icons to select
one of 4 different statuses: unprocessed / processing
request / processed (OK) / processed (Error), etc. The
standard Outlook indicators (message priority and monitoring)
remain available.
Mail-shots
In addition to the use of distribution lists, the
creation of mail-shots is greatly facilitated facilitated
by the use of Word’s mail merge option. For
large scale mail-shots, an interface with all the
ODBC databases is available.
