The RTE SMS send engine comes in the form of a 32-bit
multi-thread NT service and offers an exceptional level
of reliability. A powerful communications engine, it
uses few systems resources and does not need a dedicated
server. Its transmission capacity is around 720 SMS
per hour per line, with 64 lines able to operate simultaneously.
Send acknowledgements are generally received in 4 seconds
if the recipient’s mobile phone is switched on.
When the recipient’s phone is switched off, acknowledgements
are managed and reach the sender when the recipient
switches on the phone.
Queues
Thanks to queue management, the number of send requests
is unlimited. Sending priorities are ranked by order
of importance, so you can make a send request for an
SMS mail-out to several thousand recipients without
delaying the sending of an urgent SMS.
Server management
The server management tool allows for the remote monitoring
and configuration of several send engines. This means
that the administrator can access the real time activity
of the lines and the outbound SMS spool. It can also
access transmission logs (sending, receipt and status)
as well as the equipment failures present on the NT
event manager. A 3D statistics module allows the administrator
to control the allocation of costs, line charges and
traffic efficiently.
